Our gripper is an indispensable tool for self-gripping. Designed especially for tetraplegics and other disabled people with limited hand function. Unlike other grippers that require the ability to squeeze with your fingers, the Active Quad only requires a one-way wrist movement, so there's no need for your fingers, meaning even some C4 can use it.
Tailored specifically for you. Individual adjustment will ensure that your gripper will be securely and comfortably held in your hand during use. Remember! Consider whether you will be using it with a sweatshirt or gloves or without it. The gripper cannot be too tight, so add a little play to the dimensions. It is available in left or right-hand versions. Check the dimensions and enter them in the product customization field (For example "Right hand, A- 35 mm, B- 45 mm, C- 90 mm").
Three dimensions are needed to adjust the gripper:
A- hand grip thickness
B- wrist grip thickness
C- forearm grip thickness
It is best to take measurements with a caliper. If you don't have it, you can take measurements with a cardboard and a ruler. To do this, cut a groove in a cardboard box, put it and adjust the width of the cut to the thickness of your hand in the place where the handle is attached, and then measure the thickness of the cut with a ruler or measure.
The gripper is made of stainless steel, aluminium and plastic. The special design creates a unique, sturdy gripper that can lift up to 3 kilograms.
This gripper model has plastic, replaceable tips available in our other offers.
The length from the grip on the hand to the tip of the pliers is about 15 cm.
Weight approx. 395 g.
